Rutgers Business School students part of largest local chapter delegation at Future Business Leaders of America Conference
Thirty-seven Phi Beta Lambda members from Rutgers University, most of them students from the Rutgers Business School, attended the 2014 Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda National Fall Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. during the weekend of Nov. 7-9.
Rutgers-New Brunswick was recognized for sending the largest local chapter delegation to the National Fall Leadership Conference while New Jersey Phi Beta Lambda was acknowledged for sending the largest state-level delegation for the second year in a row.
Rutgers Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda wins a first place at national conference
The Rutgers Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda won its first top prize in a national competition at the student business organization’s national leadership conference this summer.
In letters of congratulations to each of the students, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie wrote: “Your performance in this competition is a testament to your hard work and motivation, and I am confident the leadership skills and experiences you attained at the conference will serve you well in the future.”
Rutgers Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda won 37 awards – a majority of them first and second prizes – during the organization’s annual New Jersey State Leadership Conference on Feb. 22.
Eighteen Rutgers Business School students were among the award winners. Seven members of the Rutgers Newark PBL, which competes against students from New Brunswick, also took home prizes, including four first place awards.

Five Rutgers students were among the top winners in events testing their knowledge of accounting, finance and management during the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference last month in California.
Members of Phi Beta Lambda at Rutgers Business School, New Brunswick, swept the annual State Leadership Conference this year, capturing a total of 32 awards.
Twenty-five undergraduate students competed on Feb. 23 against students from other PBL chapters across the state. Thirteen students won first place, including five students who captured the first in two categories. There were 12 second-place winners, and two students took home third place awards.

Rutgers Business School-Newark and New Brunswick (RBS) is proud to announce that the RBS undergraduate student organization Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) recently won a total of 8 National Awards competing against thousands of business undergraduates from across the country as well as China at the 2012 FBLA National Leadership Conference in Texas.
This year, FBLA-PBL students won the most awards since their chapter was founded in 2006. This is definitely a proud moment for not only the students but also Rutgers Business School.
